Action Shooting Practice Night

Looking for a fun way to enhance your current skill set? Action Shooting Practice Night is open to everyone, including beginners who are curious about competition!
Join us for this practice session, where you will learn to shoot in a variety of situations. Bring your favorite gun and have some fun!
WHAT IS THE EVENT ABOUT/WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This class was created for new or experienced shooters to give the Action Shooting crowd time to practice and improve their skills. You will practice multiple runs on 2 or 3 stages to improve your skills and times.
- No steel core, tracers, incendiary, or fully exposed lead ammo is permitted on the range.
- Handloads will be allowed, assuming the loads are not otherwise restricted.
- Shooters are required to complete a liability waiver and watch the CSA safety video before being permitted to shoot. If you have not already completed the registration process, arrive a little early to do so. You may also stop by at any time before the match to complete registration.
- Shooter’s briefing will start promptly at 5:00 pm, with the practice starting shortly afterward.
- Modified Carolina Sporting Arms Range rules will apply.
- All shooters will be briefed on these rules before the first shot is fired.
- USPSA rules and scoring will apply. However, accommodations will be in place for new shooters whose firearms or gear don’t exactly comply with established divisions.
- Please arrive on time and ready to go. The sooner we get started, the more we can shoot.
Prerequisite
- Complete a liability waiver.
- Watch the CSA safety video prior.
*If you have not fired a firearm before, we recommend you take one of our introductory classes: Give It A Shot, or First Shots Classes, before joining an Action Shooting Match Event.
What To Bring
Centerfire handgun 9mm or larger.
Back-Up Gun (BUG) division is .380 or larger.
A sturdy leather or Kydex holster. It must be a strong-side hip holster worn inside or outside the waistband. Kydex or plastic-type is preferred. No one-size-fits nylon holsters, race holsters, cross-draw holsters, shoulder holsters, small-of-the-back, appendix, or pocket holsters.
- A quality, sturdy belt.
- A cover garment. It can be a vest, light jacket, etc.
- 3 magazines (minimum)
- Magazine pouches that hold at least two mags.
- 100 rounds minimum
- Eye and ear protection. Hard shell or custom-molded ear protection only. *Available for purchase in the CSA range or store.
- Extra mags, chamber flag and 100 rounds of ammo.
