Administration and Compliance Position

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • – Daily entry of all invoices into Sage (accounting software).
  • – Update General Ledger entries in banking accounts, reconciling banking and credit card accounts monthly.
  • – Prepare, certify, and audit various required insurance policies and Federal forms and contracts yearly.
  • – Reconcile online transactions and training classes sold.
  • – Daily use of Payware and Tsys Merchant Solutions to correct transaction errors.
  • – Sales and use tax monthly with the NCDOR.
  • – Order and maintain inventory of the store supplies.
  • – Processing payroll and running monthly commission reports.
  • – Maintain 401K account deposits for every pay period.
  • – Process onboarding paperwork for new employees and maintain employee files.
  • – 4473 compliance, bonus tracking, and ensuring compliance with state and federal government requirements for firearms laws.
  • – Daily to weekly emails to ATF for compliance reports, providing answers, documentation, and filing quarterly/annual ATF reports.
  • – Primary point of contact with ATF auditors through duration of store audit.
  • – NFA and Non-NFA monthly inventory.
  • – Filing and other related duties as necessary or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • – Excellent written, verbal communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • – Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software.
  • – Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred, and one year of related firearms industry experience preferred.
  • – Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage high-volume workload and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts.
  • – Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • – Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • – Must be able to pass both federal and state background checks to have unaccompanied access to arms and ammunition.
  • – Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • – Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • – Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

The selected candidate will be required to pass a background and drug screen. The potential candidate must also meet ATF requirements for Firearm possession. Your office is located within our state-of-the-art gun range facility, where you will be interacting with the owner and the team on a daily basis.
